From humble beginnings as independent Dunedin boatbuilders in the 1980/1990's (respectively) Lazercraft and Southern came together in 2008 to bring the best of both brands under one roof. Whilst distinctly different brands, the company's trademark quality finish is evident in all boats that leave the factory floor.
Today, Lazercraft Boats offer a range of Softtop and Hardtop craft from 4.9m - 7.0m featuring alloy hulls and composite deck mouldings (except Divemaster models - see more at www.lazercraft.co.nz) where Southern Boats produce 6.5m-11.00m alloy hull and deck models featuring composite hardtops and interior mouldings. Many features often considered options are included standard in a new Southern alloy boat and semi custom layouts or models are available by request.
Southern Boats has maintained it's roots in Dunedin with a production facility in Mosgiel and a team of passionate boatbuilders, painters, upholsterers and fit out technicians.
